It is the client that knows what hurts, what direction to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried
— Carl Rogers
  • Listening without judgement is the foundation of my counselling approach and for all parts of you to be truly heard, seen and held in your journey.

My Approach

  • My approach to counselling centres around you being the expert in your journey but understanding that sometimes we need some help seeing the pieces and putting them together.

I aim to provide a space that is rich in warmth, compassion, and acceptance to allow clients to process their experiences in a safe space and work towards healing. I approach each session with empathy, gentle humour, and non-judgemental humility.

I consider it a privilege and honour to walk with my clients on their journey through some of their darkest and most vulnerable times. I hope to help you towards having a grounded sense of self and to live a life more intentionally and freely by helping you move from feeling stuck with negative & painful emotions and unhelpful coping strategies. I also aim to faciliate emotional corrective experiences within my sessions to encourage lasting change in how you relate and connect with others. I endeavour to encourage through our work together the expansion of your self awareness.

My foundational theory is Person-Centred Counselling, but I am also influenced by Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, creative drawing exercises and Gestalt, including empty chair and inner child work.
